Video: Lil Wayne Speaks! First Video Since Seizure Scares.
Real Housewives of Atlanta's Star and Husband Call It Quits!
If you're a fan of Real Housewives of Atlanta, you're well aware of costar Porsha Stewart's love for her husband, New Orleans' own, Kordell Stewart. The Stewarts, who have been married for a year and a half, were in talks of starting a family. Not anymore. Recently, Kordell filed for divorce from Porsha due to "irretrievably broken" issues.
On the show, Kordell is portrayed as controlling, as he tries to make Porsha decide between mothering a child and choosing a career. Kordell doesn't think Porsha deserves a dime of his money in spousal support because she is "capable of earning her own income." Porsha wanted to hold off on filing papers to work on her marriage, but now is fighting back, saying that she quit her job and sold her business to take care of Kordell and his son from a previous relationship.
Good luck to the two working it out. If not, I'm sure we'll be hearing about it next season. Hopefully.

Catch the Wall: An Original Mutlimedia Bounce Play
There's no hesitation in saying that most of the city of New Orleans is fueled by Bounce music. No matter how much some of us try to run from it, it always seems to catch up with us. Catch the Wall, is a New Orleans story about Bounce music written by a young New Orleans writer.
Here's the storyline:
When champion bounce MC, Benefit, dies unexpectedly, 6th graders Cleo and Justice set out to make a dance video so that their mentor's memory can live on. But when Benefit's ghost begins haunting the halls of their charter school, the girls must push back against their teacher's expectations and the dangers of their neighborhood, and find a story they can claim as their own. ‘Catch the Wall’, by the same writer that brought The NOLA Project 'Taste' is a multi-media bounce play, fueled by the music and culture of New Orleans.
8 shows were performed March 14 - 23 at Dillard University's Cook Theatre. Check out the pics below:

2013 Sacred Music Festival
Last week, the second annual Sacred Music Festival was held at The New Orleans Healing Center. The unique celebration brought NOLA's diverse cultural communities together to share in music, art and ecstatic expression. Treme's Clarke Peters, and singers Deacon John and Charmaine Neville, were amongst attendees of the show.
Although The New Orleans Sacred Music Festival's performers were from all walks of faith, and different cultural communities, they all came together to share their love for music. Some performances were traditional, others innovative, but all were uplifting. Check out the photos from the event below.

Lil Wayne Released from ICU, Now in Stable Condition
Six days after being entered into Intensive Care, following a string of intense seizures, Lil Wayne's condition is finally listed as stable.
Last week, Lil Wayne entered Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. after suffering violent seizures for the second time in one week. According to a slew of reports, Wayne's multiple seizures were a result of a codeine overdose. Doctors had to pump his stomach at least three times to remove the codeine, which is the main ingredient in the popular drink and Wayne's favorite, sizzurp.
Sources report that he is now in a regular room, walking and eating on his own. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and quits sipping on the sizzurp.
